Freda D. Stephens 90 of Toronto, Ohio passed away Saturday Jan. 8, 2005 in Trinity Medical Center East. Freda was born April 9, 1914 in Toronto, daughter of the late Woodburn and Sarah (Morrow) McKnight. Freda worked for the defense plants in Cleveland during W.W. II,After which she worked at Follansbee Steel in Toronto and retired after 16 years of service in the Central Supply Dept. from The Ohio Valley Hospital. She was a member of the Riverview United Methodist Church, the Sunrise Sr. Citizens in Toronto and AARP in Steubenville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clyde A. Stephens in 1963, a Sister; Zetta Weidger, Eight Brothers; Freddie, Delbert, Clayton, Archie, Norman, William, Woodburn Jr., Eugene McKnight;One Grandson, HN Ronald J. Manning. Surviving are her children; Donna J. (Riggleman) Manning and her husband James; Ronald J.(Shirley)Riggleman all of Toronto. 10 Grandchildren; Cathy (Mike) Grimm, James "Bo" (Kelley) Manning, Rhonda (Mark) Sartoris, Lisa Ellison, Paige (Mark) Blasko, Lori (Brett) Brandon, Stacey (Gary) Berger, Doug Manning, Dave (Heather) Manning. 19 Great-Grandchildren . One Brother; Wilmont McKnight of Cleveland; one Sister, Virginia Garrett of Toronto; Several nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call Tuesday evening from 7-9 pm. and on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. at the J. E. Foster Funeral Homes, Inc. 701 Findley St. Toronto. Calling will also take place on Thursday at the Riverview United Methodist Church from 10:00 am. up til time of Freda's Service which is at 11:00 am. Rev. Bill Hibbs will officiate and burial will follow in fort Steuben Burial Estates in Wintersville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the Riverview United Methodist Church, 105 N. River Ave. Toronto, Ohio 43964.
