Freda M. Straka, 97, of Toronto, Ohio passed away Thursday July 7, 2011 in the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH. Freda was born Sept. 11, 1913 in Reedy, WV, daughter of the late Plas and Alma (Kersey) Channels. She was a homemaker and a member of the Weirton Heights Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, Freda was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Straka in 1989, seven sisters and seven brothers. Surviving are her three sons, Robert (Pat) Straka and Kenneth (Patty) Straka both of Toronto, OH and Gary (Betty) Straka of Colliers, WV; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Friends and family will be received on Monday, July 11 from 6-8 pm. at the J.E. Foster Funeral Homes, Inc. 701 Findley St. in Toronto, OH, where Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am with Pastor Steve Smithbauer officiating. Burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery.
