George E. Buddy Byers, 72, of Toronto, OH, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023 at his home.

Buddy was born August 27, 1950, in Steubenville, son of the late George F. and Zelda F. (McConnell) Byers.

Buddy was a retired Ironworker. He belonged to Local 549 out of Wheeling, WV. He loved to cruise the backroads and fish the local creeks, ponds and river.

In addition to his parents, Buddy was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Ann Byers, and his son, Geoffrey Byers.

Buddy leaves behind two grandchildren, Keirsten Byers and Seth (Taylor Bridgeman) Byers, a great-grandson, Xjavier Byers; brother, Denny (Debbie) Byers and sister, Connie McClain, and several nieces and nephews.

Services for Buddy are private, and his burial will be held at the convenience of his family. His arrangements are in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto.
