George S. Cook, Jr., 79, of Rayland, OH, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021 in the Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH.

George was born July 24, 1941 in Steubenville, son of the late George, Sr. and Martha (Kollar) Cook.

He was retired from the Weirton Steel Corp. where he was a cost analyst. George enjoyed farming, produce, antique toys and trading, tractor and lawn mower sales and service and his furry friends. George was also a former Army Reservist.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara (Pesta) Cook on Oct. 23, 2015.

George leaves behind his sister-in-law, Rebecca Pesta and Thomas and three brothers-in-law, David (Patricia) Pesta, Timothy (Glenndora) Pesta, and Mark (Teri) Pesta all of Rayland and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 23 from 3 PM to 7 PM at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield, OH, where his funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 AM. Heather Long will officiate and burial will follow in Northern Cemetery in Smithfield. www.jefosterfh.com
