George Michael Lee, 73, of Smithfield, OH, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2020 at his home.

Michael was born Aug. 17, 1946 in Martins Ferry, OH, son of the late George Henry Lee and Hazel Lucinda (Cassels) Lee.

He was retired from the LTV Steel Mill where he worked as a millwright. Michael was Veteran of the US Army having served two tours in Vietnam. He was a member and Past Commander of the Smithfield American Legion Post #396.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William Henry Lee and John Kirby Lee.

Michael leaves behind his devoted wife, Sheila A. (Ksiazek) Lee whom he married June 25, 2011; his special companion, his dog Cherokee Lee; his sister, Joan Lee (Robert) Dameron of Piney Fork, OH and his three brothers, Joe Louis (Chris) Lee of CA, David J. (Deborah) Lee and Henry (Cheryl) Lee both of Smithfield and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation for the public will be held on Saturday, July 18 from 12 PM to 2 PM at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield, OH. Facemasks will be required to enter. A private family service will follow.
