George M. Torok, 69, of Smithfield, Ohio passed away peacefully at his home Saturday July 31, 2010. George was born Nov. 11, 1940 in Bradley, Ohio; son of the late Joseph and Margaret Plinchak Torok. George worked for many years for Y&O Coal Co., retired from the A.E.P. Cardinal Plant in Brilliant and was recently employed by Wackenhut Security Co. He was a member of the Smithfield Masonic Lodge # 182 F&AM, Scottish Rite of Steubenville and was a former Village Councilman in Smithfield. George was a U.S. Marine Veteran.In addition to his parents George was preceded in death by an infant brother. Surviving are his wife of 50 years Elizabeth Ann Graham Torok, whom he married on May 26, 1960, his three sons Jeffrey and Kevin both of Smithfield and Michael (Mary) Torok of Hilliard, Oh. Two grandchildren, Molly and Spencer Torok. Two brothers Joseph (Dru) Torok of Rayland and Kenneth (Penny) Torok of Bradley. A Memorial Visitation and Service will be held on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm. at the J. E. Foster Funeral Homes, Inc., 107 Hill St. Smithfield. George's Memorial Service will take place at 7:30 pm. Rev. Jeff Greco will provide his Service. Burial will be at the convenience of his family.
