Gerald Dale McHugh, 81, of Dillonvale, OH, passed away on Monday July 13, 2026, in the WVU Weirton Medical Center in Weirton, WV.

Dale was born on June 8, 1945, in Wheeling, WV, son of the late John Donald and Marian (Kollar) McHugh. Dale was also preceded in death by his son Dathan, his two brothers, Donald and Roger, and his sister, Dorothy Toth.

Dale worked as a Chief Operator at the former Pori Co. in Weirton, WV, until his eventual retirement.

Surviving is his wife, Norma Jean (Phillips) McHugh; his son, Garren McHugh of Dillonvale, OH; granddaughter, Shaylor McHugh of Wintersville, OH, and his sister, Esther (Lamont) McCoy also of Dillonvale.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 18, from 11 am to 12 noon at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield, OH. Dale’s funeral services will follow at noon, officiated by his nephew, Pastor Travis McHugh.
