Gertrude L. Russell, 81, of Irondale, OH, went to Heaven, Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at her home.

Gertrude was born July 25, 1933 in Irondale, daughter of the late Clifford and Eva (McVeigh) Vandyke.

She was a member of Port Homer Community Church and she was a representative of the Fuller Brush Co. for many years.

In addition to her parents, Gertrude was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney W. Russell who passed in 2015 and her sister, Verna Weaver of Fairmont, WV.

Gertrude leaves behind her three children, Theresa Keeder of Irondale, twins, Ron Russell of Bellaire, OH and Connie (Jerry) Westlake of Salineville, OH; one sister, Joyce Spicer of Irondale; two brothers, Curtis (Karen) Vandyke of Irondale and Harold (Elaine) Vandyke of Wellsville, OH; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Gertrude will be held on Saturday, July 25 from 2 to 8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH. Her funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 26 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Doug Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in Hammondsville Cemetery in Hammondsville, OH.
