Glenn D. Baker, 96, of Toronto, OH, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025, in the Suncoast Hospice Center in Palm Harbor, FL.

Glenn was born April 16, 1929, in Paden City, WV, son of the late Charles F. and Marie (Braham) Baker. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Harriett R. (Smith) Baker, his brother, Charles E. Baker, and his step-mother, Dorothy (Arnold) Baker.

He was a 1947 graduate of Jefferson Union High School. After graduation Glenn was drafted into the US Army where he served his country on the front lines of the Korean War.

Upon returning home from the war, Glenn went to work at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel in the Caster, BOF and Open Hearth. He eventually retired from the mill with 50 years of service. Glenn was also a member of the Toronto Masonic Lodge 583 F&AM where he was a 32nd Degree Mason.

Glenn leaves behind his children, David and wife Jackie Baker of Toronto, Mark and wife Tamara Baker of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, and Bonnie and husband James Rampello also of Toronto; six grandchildren, Jesse Baker, Abigail (Andy) LeMasters, Ian Baker and Elaina (Gabe) Abbu, Matt Rampello and Jenna (Logan) Ignace; three great grandchildren, Ezekial and Elliott LeMasters, and Adalyn Ignace.

Family and friends will be received Monday, October 13 from 4 pm to 6 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto where services will be held on Tuesday at 11 am. There will be additional viewing on Tuesday from 10 am to 11 am. Rev. Kevin Rinkes will officiate with burial to follow at the Toronto Union Cemetery. Military Honors will be presented at the cemetery by the Toronto American Legion Post #86 Honor Guard.
