Obituary

Glenn W. Kelley, 79, of East Springfield, OH, passed away Monday Sept. 26, 2011 in Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH. Glenn was born Oct. 25, 1931 in Rush Run, OH, son of the late Ova Ray and Anna Elizabeth Whittaker Kelley. Glenn was retired from the Carson Petroleum Co. in Hopedale, was a member of Teamster's local # 428 and was Presbyterian by faith. Glenn was a veteran of the US Army having served his country in the Korean War. In addition to his parents Glenn was preceded in death by his son Michael J. Kelley, his brother Orville Kelley and two sisters Peggy Chalfant and Marie Loppe. Surviving are his wife Mary (Deane) Kelley of home, his son Paul R. Kelley of Wintersville, OH, four daughters Anna Marie (Jim) Monogioudis of Yorkville, OH, Glenda (Albert) Foglietti of Las Vegas, NV, Kathleen Keenan of East Springfield, OH and Lisa Costlow of Wintersville, OH; his sister Kathleen Bender of Rayland, OH; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 29 from 3-7 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc., 107 Hill St. Smithfield, OH, where Services will be held on Friday at 11 am with Pastor Tom Snodgrass officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens in Colerain, OH. Military honors will be presented by the Piney Fork American Legion Post #735.
