Obituary

Glenn E. Riser 80 of Twp. Rd. 177 Rayland, Ohio died Thursday Dec. 2, 2004 at his home. He was born Nov. 28, 1924 in Steubenville, Ohio. Glenn was a retired Rigger Foreman for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. Mingo Plant, retiring with 31 years of service. He resided in this area for 50 years. He attended the Bloomingdale Methodist Church, was a member of the Steubenville Moose Lodge #619 for 31 years, was a member of Smithfield American Legion Post#396 for 33 years, serving as Post Commander for 4 Years, 1st. Vice for 8 years and 2nd Vice for 4 years. Glenn was a U. S. Navy Veteran of W. W. II.In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by; his Wife Pauline E. (Skidmore) Riser and Two Sons; Gary A. Riser and James C. Pratko. Surviving are; his Companion; Ginny Wiley, Three Sons, Michael (Charlotte) Pratko, Glenn W. ( Janet ) Riser, and Alvin C. ( Sandy ) Harrison. Three Daughters; Sharon L. Still, Sharon D. Doty, and Robin G. Rosenlieb. 18 Grandchildren and 20 Great-Grandchildren. Friends and Family may call on Saturday Evening from 7-9 pm. and on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc. 107 Hill St. Smithfield, Ohio; where Services will be held on Monday at 1:30 pm. Burial will follow in Bloomingdale Cemetery.
