Guy T. Cortez, 74, of Steubenville, OH, passed away Saturday, September 01, 2012 in the Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, OH.Guy was born June 6, 1938 in Steubenville, OH, son of the late John A. and Alma J. (Andrews) Cortez.Guy was the former owner of Tri-State TV; he was Catholic by faith and a Veteran of the US Army.In addition to his parents, Guy was preceded in death by his niece, Kristina Cortez White.Guy is survived by his two brothers, Richard J. (Elizabeth) Cortez of Steubenville, OH, and David W. (Marilyn) Cortez of Reynoldsburg, OH; his nephews, John (Amy) Cortez and David Cortez; his great nieces and nephews, Ariel and Jonathan Cortez, Jordan Quinn and Zachary Burch. Guy also leaves behind his devoted friend and business partner, Donovan Shuppas, Sally, Zackarey, Veronica and Tammy.Close friends and family are invited to attend Guy's Committal Service being held on Tuesday, September 4 at 1pm at the Chapel in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Steubenville, OH. Entombment will follow Guy's service.
