Harold H. Ely Sr., 75ofToronto, Ohio; passed away Monday Jan. 15, 2007 in his home. He was born Aug. 13, 1931 in East Steubenville, W.Va., son of the late Charles and Georgia Barrett Ely.Harold was a retired salesman for the former Jefferson Distributing Co. in Steubenville and was a member of the New Somerset Christian Church. In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by: three grandchildren, two sisters and three brothers.Surviving are; his wife of 34 years, Carol (Redmond) Ely, two daughters; Dorothy (Ed) Senile and Shirley Moffo both of Mingo, his son Harold H. "Scotty" Ely Jr., of Toronto, step-children Tracey Anderson of Toronto, Sharon (Rick) Cinadr of Reno, NV., David Anderson of Toronto. 8 Grandchildren, 11 Great-grandchildren.Three brothers, John Ely of Columbus, Ohio; Ken Ely of Atlanta,GA., and Tom Ely of Cleveland. Friends and family may call on Wednesday 2-4 and 6-9 pm. at the J.E. Foster Funeral Homes, Inc., 701 Findley St.Toronto; where services will be held on Thursday morning at 11:00 am.Pastor Robert Hanze will officiate Harold's service.Burial will be held at the convenience of Harold's family. Following the service friends and family are invited to the North River Ave. Christian Church in Toronto for a luncheon.
