Harry Bruce Firm, 98, of Toronto, Ohio passed away Thursday Feb. 28, 2013 in the Life Line Hospital in Wintersville. Bruce was born on Feb. 19, 1915 in Toronto, son of the late Harry A. and Amanda Bruce Firm. Bruce retired from the former Kaul Clay Co. in Toronto, where he worked as a boiler fireman. He also co-owned a sawmill, also worked as a coal miner, clay miner, worked at Peerless Clay Co., and the local steel mills. He was a member of the Gospel Hall in Steubenville.In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his wife Violet Marie (Petty) Firm in 1992, his son James in 1947, his grandson Edgar Firm, two brothers G. David and S. Herbert Firm and two sisters Ruth Morrow and Florence Firm. Surviving are two sons, Ronald B. Firm of Toronto, Samuel (Joyce) Firm of Fayette, Ohio. Five daughters, Dorothy (Junior) Rawson and Flo (Bob) Cronin of Toronto, Shirley (Al) Kinyo of Bloomingdale, Marla (Kevin) Costello and Brenda (Herb) Swartz of Toronto. 20 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday March 3, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, at the J.E. Foster Funeral Homes, Inc., 701 Findley St. Toronto. Visitation will also take place on Monday from 10 am. til time of the Service at 11 am. Speakers Richard Westlake and Jim Snyder will provide the Service for Bruce and burial will follow in Island Creek Cemetery.
