Harry Arthur Littlecott, 79, of Toronto, OH, passed away Friday, February 29, 2008 in the Twin Towers Assisted Living Center in Cincinnati, OH.Harry was born March 19, 1928 in Toronto, son of the late Harry Alexander Littlecott and Margaret (Wemple) Littlecott Gillis. Harry was a former Toronto Police officer for seven years, he worked at Titanium for 15 years as a quality control manager and he also worked at Hancock Manufacturing Plant for 24 years as a Product Logistics Manager.Harry was a member of the Riverview United Methodist Church and a choir member for 50 years; he was one of the original members of the Toronto Community Band and Brass; a member of the Barbershop Quartet; founder of the Toronto Historical Society and Museum. He was an amateur archeologist working on many arrowhead digs; he restored Toronto's Original #1 Mail wagon, and was a volunteer fireman among many other things.Harry was also a member of the Toronto American Legion Post #86 as a veteran of the US Army Air Corp; he was a member of the Masonic Lodge# 583 F a member of the Ancient Acceptance Scottish Rite Valley of Steubenville and a Royal Arch Mason, Toronto Lodge.In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his brother Charles Littlecott.Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Lourelle (Clites) Littlecott of Cincinnati; his sister Jean (Littlecott) Hewitt of Canton, OH; his son, Harry Dean and his wife Nan Littlecott of Havre De Grace, MD; his daughter, Lee Anne Littlecott of Cincinnati; three grandchildren, Michelle Jackson and her husband Brian of Annapolis, MD, Melanie Mesmer and her husband Jeff of Green, OH, and Randy Littlecott of NY. Harry is also survived by his great-grandson Kai Jackson.Visitation for Harry will be held on Sunday, March 2 from 1-3 and 6-8pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc., 701 Findley St. in Toronto. Harry's funeral service will be held on Monday at 11am at the Riverview United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill Hibbs officiating. There will be an hour of visitation at the church from 10am up until the service at 11am. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
