Helen Louise Allen, 83 of Toronto, Ohio passed away Friday Dec. 16, 2005 in the Carriage Inn of Cadiz. Helen was born July 10, 1922 in Steubenville, daughter of the late Howard B. and Marie Hazencomb Nelson. She was a Homemaker and known for her skilled handy work in making her afghans, crafts, and clothes. She was a member of the Finley United Methodist Church in Steubenville and was a graduate of Steubenville High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Allen on Dec. 9, 1992, her sister; Daisey M. Erwin, her brother; Howard Nelson; and her sister-in-law Lois Miller. Surviving are; her daughter; Sandra L. Miller of Toronto, she was a beloved Nannie to her grandchildren; Todd Allen Hackett of Toronto, Kristen Lynne (Doug) Freshwater of Toronto, and great-grandmother to Tylar T. Barron of Toronto. Also surviving are her sister; Betty (Bob) Clark of Steubenville, Brother; Glenn (Betty) Nelson of Wintersville, and sister-in-law Betty Nelson of Fairfield , Ohio. Friends and family may call on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. at the J. E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc. 701 Findley St. Toronto; where services will be held on Tuesday morning at 11:00 am. Rev. P.
