Helen Marie (Kalivoda) Grimm, 71, of Toronto, OH, passed away Friday, Dec. 8, 2017 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

Helen Marie was born Aug. 12, 1946 in Steubenville, OH, daughter of the late Paul P. and Elizabeth 'Betty' (Dyer) Kalivoda.

She was employed as a receptionist at the YMCA in the Arena in Steubenville. She formerly worked at Rue 21, the Rite Aid of Toronto and she had her own Beautician business for many years.

Helen Marie was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Toronto, the Toronto Eagles Auxiliary, the Toronto American Legion Auxiliary and she was a 1964 graduate of Toronto High School.

She will be fondly remembered as someone who helped everyone and never knew how to say no to anybody.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Holden Grimm who passed in 2001.

Helen Marie leaves behind her husband, Gary W. Grimm whom she married March 10, 1973; her two sons, Michael A. (Lori) Grimm of New Alexandria, PA and Donald P. (Jennifer) Grimm of Toronto; her two brothers, Paul Buzzy Kalivoda of Toronto and Michael (Patsey) Kalivoda of Steubenville; her sister, Kathy Bucey of Gurney, IL and her five grandchildren, Michael A. Grimm II, Nina Marie Grimm, Hayden and Dakota Grimm and Braden Haught.

Family and friends will be received Monday evening from 3-8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. Her funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 am at the funeral home with Fr. Thomas Vennitti officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Grove Cemetery near her home.

The Toronto American Legion Auxiliary will hold their service Monday night at 8 pm. There will be additional visitation Tuesday morning from 9 am til time of service at 10 am.
