Helen Hood, 94, of Toronto, OH, passed away Thursday Aug. 20, 2020 in East Liverpool City Hospital.

Helen was born March 23, 1926 in Wolfrun, OH, the sixth of 13 children to the late, Joseph and Mary (Rodak) Fidak.

She was a private caregiver for many people over the years. Helen was a member of the Empire United Methodist Church and the Womens Society.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, George Hood in 1993; her siblings, brothers, Joseph Jr, John, Mike, Andy, Alex, Paul and Bob Fidak; sisters, Irene Shimmel and Mary Kowaleski.

Surviving is her daughter, Patricia (Don) Harris of East Liverpool; her grandson, Sean Michael Harris of Boardman, OH; her great-grandsons, Kohen Michael and Grayden Michael Harris; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Fidak and several nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to John Fullerton and Tammy Sellers for their special care given to Helen over the years.

Helens wishes were to be cremated. Her burial will be held at the convenience of her family in the Island Creek Cemetery. She is in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Toronto.
