Helen Kertoy Sipos, 99, of the Smithfield-Bloomingdale, Ohio area, passed away Wednesday Sept. 7, 2011 in the Gable Care Center in Hopedale. Helen was born March 1, 1912 in Bradley, Ohio, daughter of the late John and Fannie Valdinger Kertoy. She lived her entire life in the Smithfield-Bloomingdale area. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church for over 60 years.In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband Eugene in Sept. 16th of 1982. She was the youngest daughter of six children who have all predeceased her. Those include; sisters Elizabeth and Marguerite Savoia and brothers Joseph, John and Steve Kertoy. She was also preceded in death by her sisters-in-law Julia Kertoy and Marie O'Bradovich. She is survived by her daughter Helen M. Sipos of the home who has been her major caregiver for many years, her daughter Dolores J. Titus and her son Eugene A. Sipos and her granddaughter Catherine Sipos all of Columbus, Ohio. Also surviving is her sister-in-law Mary Kertoy of Bradley, Brother-in-law Eli O'Bradovich of Adena, along with many nieces, nephews and several cousins. Visitation will be on Friday from 3 to 8 pm. at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc., 107 Hill St. in Smithfield; where Services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am . Rev. Wilford Simeral will conduct Helen's Service and burial will follow beside her Husband Eugene in Olive Branch Cemetery in Harrisville. Helen's family wishes to thank everyone for their support, love and kindness during her long lifetime, especially Rick and Debbie Wilson and the staff at Gables Care Center for the wonderful care they have always given our Mother for the past three years while she was a resident there.
