Helen V.(Raha) Smurda 91 of Toronto, Ohio died Monday evening at Trinity Medical Center West. Helen was born June 7, 1913 in Mingo Jct., Ohio daughter of the late George and Mary Molnar Hreha. She was a former employee of the former Hancock Manufacturing Co. in Toronto. She was a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Toronto, the Toronto Senior Citizens Club and was a member of the Jefferson County Democratic Women's Club. In addition to her parents Helen was preceded in death by: her Husband, George who passed away in 1966; Two Brothers; George and John Raha; and one Sister; Mary Degnon.Surviving are; Two Sons; Edward ( Sharon ) Smurda of Follansbee, Bernard ( Nancy ) Smurda of Weirton. 6 Grandchildren and 4 Great- Grandchildren. Foster Funeral Home, Inc. 701 Findley St. Toronto, Ohio; where Blessing Services will be held on Friday morning at 10:00 am. followed by Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 10:30 am. at St. Francis Church located on Findley St. in Toronto. Msgr. Kurt Kemo will be the Celebrant and burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery. Vigil Service will be Thursday evening at 7:30 pm. at the Funeral Home.
