Howard L. Turner, 95, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away suddenly at his home Wednesday June 24 th, 2009 of natural causes. Howard was born July 21, 1913 in Youngstown, son of the late James G. and Elizabeth E. Maloney Turner. He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp., Steubenville Plant where he worked on the floor. He was a member of the North River Ave. Christian Church in Toronto, his other memberships include, Toronto Masonic Lodge # 583 F&AM, Aladdin Temple, Scottish Rite, Knights of Templar, Steubenville Shrine Club, and the Motor Patrol. In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by his wife Mary Catherine Hunter Turner in 1983, three sisters, Iris, Magdaline "Madge" Fisher,Barbara "Billie" Rawson, two Brothers, James V. and Richard "Bud" Turner.Surviving are his daughter, Donna K. (Turner) Boss of Wintersville, with whom he resided, Daughter Sherrie M.(Frank) Taylor of Naples, Fla., His son James E. (Martha) Turner of Burkburnett, TX., granddaughter Teresa, three grandsons, Pat, Paul and Brice. Several great and great-great grandchildren.Friends and family may call on Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 pm., at the J. E. Foster Funeral Homes, Inc., 701 Findley St. Toronto; where Services will be held on Monday at 11 am.. Pastor Robert Hanze will officiate his service and burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery.
