HUGH E."Sonny" SUTHERIN Sr. 70 of Toronto, Ohio died Thursday May 20, 2004 in UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh. Hugh was born May 19, 1934 in Empire, Ohio son of the late Hugh I. and Emma Hartline Sutherin .Hugh was a retired employee of Timet-Titanium Metals Corp. in Toronto, where he worked in the Tube Mill as a Metallurgist. Presently Hugh served as the Building inspector for the City of Toronto.He was an avid Fisherman and was a member of the the Empire United MethodistChurch, The Toronto Masonic Lodge #583 F&AM and the Scottish Rite of Steubenville. Hugh served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Air Force. In addition to his parents, Hugh was preceded in death by his Brother; Gerald "Jerry" Sutherin. Surviving are; his Wife; Lola L. Scott Sutherin, whom he married on Oct. 31, 1958, Two Sons; Hugh E.'Hoopie' Sutherin Jr. Of Toronto and Jerry and his wife Teresa Sutherin also of Toronto. His Daughter; Paige and her husband ThomasWilson of Toronto. One Brother; Tom and his wife Connie Sutherin of Troy, Ohio. His Six Grandchildren;Abbey and Tommy Wilson, Adam and Eric Sutherin, and Danielle and Oliver Sutherin. Friends and Family may call on Saturday 2-4 and 7- 9 pm. at the J. E. Foster Funeral Homes, Inc.701 Findley St. Toronto, Ohio. On Sunday Friends and Family may call at the Empire United Methodist Church in Empire, from 1:00 pm. up til time of the Services which are at 2:00 pm. Rev. Sam Troyer will Officiate and Burial will follow in Sugar Grove Cemetery. Masonic Services will be held on Saturday Afternoon at 4:00 pm. at the Funeral Home. Military Graveside Service will be conducted by the Toronto American Legion Post # 86. Memorial donations may be made to: The American Heart Assoc. or to the Empire United MethodistChurch.
