Irene R. Blischak, 93, formerly of Stratton, OH, passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2018 in the Generations Senior Living Care Center in Strongsville, OH.

Irene was born in Cleveland, OH on Nov. 1, 1925, daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Gaydos) Papuschak.

She was a member of St. Andrews Orthodox Church in Mingo Jct., OH and the Stratton Senior Citizens group. Irene formerly worked in the Rec. Dept. for the Village of Stratton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Blischak, who passed in 1985.

Irene leaves behind her two sons, John W. Blischak of Chandler, AZ and Matthew P. Blischak (Samantha Carleton) of New York, NY; her daughter, Andrea M. (Duane) Blischak-Seditz of Brookpark, OH; two sisters, Mary Muntean of VA and Anna Trudick of Toronto, OH; her four grandchildren, Andrew and Amy Blischak and Nathan and Gregory Seditz; her great-granddaughter Drew.

Family and friends will be received Wednesday, Dec. 19 from 4 - 7 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. A Parastas Service will be held Wednesday evening at 6 pm. Her Funeral Service will be Thursday at 10:30 am at the funeral home with Fr. Alexander Garklavs from Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Parma, OH officiating. Burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery.
