Irene M. (Toth) Hornyak, 85, of Piney Fork, OH, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2012 in the Autumn Healthcare Facility in Adena, OH. Irene was born on October 31, 1926 in Adena, OH, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Ketes) Toth.Irene was a member of the former St. Theresa Catholic Church in Piney Fork, OH, where she was also a member of the Catholic Women's Club and the Piney Fork American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, Irene was preceded in death by her husband, John Hornyak who passed in 1986; her son John "Butch" Hornyak, Jr.; her daughter Patricia Waligura; her brothers Alex, Julius, Ernest and Carl Toth.Irene is survived by her son, James M. and his wife Diane Hornyak of Piney Fork; her three grandsons Matthew Waligura of Deltona, FL, James M. Hornyak, Jr. Joshua M. Hornyak both of Piney Fork; her great-grandchildren, Jimmy, Shayleigh, Lucas and Madison; her sister-in-law Mary Toth of Colorado. Irene is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation for Irene will be held on Tuesday, April 10 from 5-8pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield, OH. There will be an additional hour of visitation, at the church, on Wednesday, April 11 from 9am til the time of Irene's Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 10am at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Dillonvale, OH. Msgr. John Kolesar with Celebrate the Mass and burial will follow in Northern Cemetery in Smithfield, OH. Vigil Service will be held on Tuesday at 7:30pm at the funeral home.
