James P. Carducci, Jr., 74, of Smithfield, OH, passed away Wednesday Jan. 18, 2023, in the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH.

Jim was born March 22, 1948, in Steubenville, son of Betty (Greer) Carducci Georgiafandis, who survives, and the late James P. Carducci, Sr.

Jim was a retired Engineer with Conrail. He was a Veteran of the US Army having served his country in the Vietnam War. Jims memberships included the Smithfield United Methodist Church, Pine Valley Sportsmans Club, Smithfield Masonic Lodge #182, and the Piney Fork American Legion.

In addition to his dad, Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela (Neely) Carducci in 2014, and sister Peggy DiMichele.

Surviving is his wife, Glenda (Pasco) Carducci; son, Kris (Jeannine) Carducci of Marysville, OH, and sister, Patricia (William) Hopes of Carmichael, PA.

Visitation will be held on Friday Jan. 20 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield, where his funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 am. Pastor Kevin Daugherty will officiate, and burial will follow in New Alexandria Cemetery.

Military Honors will be presented by the Piney Fork American Legion Post #735 following the service at the funeral home. www.jefosterfh.com
