Obituary

James C. Henderson, 93, of Toronto passed away Thursday May 24, 2007 of natural causes at his home with his family by his side.Jim was born November 13, 1913 in Barnesville, OH son of the late Joseph D. and Vesta Mary (Hall) Henderson.Jim was a retired counterman with Genuine Parts where he worked for 40 years.He was a member of the SugarGroveUnitedMethodistChurch, a life member of the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship, Business Men's Fellowship USA and a veteran of the US Air Force, where he served as a Master Sergeant.In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his first wife Ann (O'Brien) who passed away in 1950 and his sister Beatrice Sayre who passed away on March 17, 2007.Jim is survived by his wife, Betty Lou (Metz Keenan) of home; his sons, Thomas (Pam) of Knoxville, OH, John (Kim) of Barnesville, OH and Patrick (PuKum)of Browns Mills, NJ; his step-children, Ron (Ian) Keenan of Wisconsin, Keith (Lil) Keenan of Phoenix, AZ and Peggy (Buddy) Byers of Toronto; his grandchildren, Shawn (Amy) of Columbus, OH, Stephen (Adele) of Wadsworth, OH, Christopher (Julie) of Hilliard, OH, Joel (Jade) of Elm Grove, WV, Krysti (Micah) Ellis of Akron, OH, Leigh-Anna Keenan of Phoenix, AZ, Geoff (Beth) Byers of Toronto, Shawn Buckle of Wellsville, Jackie Henderson of Los Angeles, CA and Terry Lee Henderson of Indiatlantic, FL; great-grandchildren, Keirsten and Seth Byers, Malcolm, Noah, Liam and Elliot Henderson, Abagayle Ellis and Nickala Allen Keenan Burke; his sisters, Winifred Olszewski of Parma, OH and Virginia Flowers of Worthington, OH; his brother-in-laws, John Metz of Weirton, WV and David Flowers of Worthington, OH.Jim is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.Visitation for Jim will be held on Saturday, May 26 from 3-5 and 7-9pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto.Funeral service for Jim will be held on Sunday, May 27 at 2pm at the funeral home with Pastor Frank Hudson officiating.Burial will follow in the Sugar Grove United Methodist Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Jim's name to the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, the Salvation Army or Charity Hospice Inc., addresses available at the funeral home.www.jefosterfh.com
