Obituary

James A. Jim Henry, 92, of Toronto, OH, passed away Friday May 29, 2015 in the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH.

Jim was born Aug. 6, 1922 in Toronto, son of the late Demetrius (James Henry) Hadjadakis and the late Julia L. Smolen Henry.

He was a retired weigh master for the former Signode Co. and was the owner-operator of the White Front Caf, which his family has owned for over eighty years.

Jim was a Methodist by faith, a member of the Toronto American Legion Post # 86 and a 1940 graduate of Toronto High School.

Jim served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy (Allen) Henry, who passed away in 2007, his son Luther Henry 1994 and two sisters, Mary OBrien and Helen Evano.

Surviving is his son, James M. Henry; his daughter, Karen L. Henry and her fiance Ernest Troia all of Toronto; his niece, Janice Robertson and great nephew Zachary Robertson; his nephew, Edward (Halina) Smolen all of Toronto; niece, Patricia Hughes and nephews, William and Michael Hughes all of Houston, TX; nieces Deborah Potts of Ely, NV and Michelle Wilson of Toronto and his faithful dog Mikko.

Visitation for Jim will be held on Tuesday June 2, 2015 from 4 - 8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Homes, Inc., 701 Findley St. in Toronto. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11am at the funeral home with Rev. Kevin Rinkes officiating and burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery.

Military graveside honors will be provided by the Toronto American Legion Post # 86.
