James E. Lawrence, 85, of Toronto, OH, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at his home surrounded by family.

Jim was born October 10, 1936, in Toronto, son of the late William F. and Wilma H. (Cochran) Lawrence.

He was retired from the Ohio Edison Sammis Plant where he worked in the Maintenance Dept. Jim was a member of the Toronto Rod and Gun Club, he loved to hunt and fish and was known as the Best Jerky Maker Around.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by two sons, James and Michael Lawrence, and brother, David Lawrence.

Jim leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Dora Mae (McGough) Lawrence, whom he married Dec. 12, 1958; daughter, Lisa (Sage) Carducci of Toronto; three grandchildren, Robin (Mike) Scott of Wintersville, OH, Melinda (Keith) Kaczmarek of Delaware, OH, and Sante Carducci of Toronto; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond (Donna) Lawrence of Lisbon, OH, and Bill (Karen) Lawrence of Wellsville, OH.
