James E. McClure, 79, of Bloomingdale, Ohio passed away Friday July 16, 2010 in Trinity Medical Center West. James was born December 22, 1930 in Boonville Warrick, IN., son of the late Floyd and Abbie Ruth Gardner McClure. James was a retired bricklayer from Weirton Steel Corp. He was a member of the Bloomingdale Presbyterian Church, the American Legion and was a long time member of the Bloomingdale Vol. Fire Dept. James was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Germany from 1951 to 1953. In addition to his parents James was preceded in death by his wife Anna (Merryman) McClure on May 5, 1997, and by his brother Lawrence McClure. Surviving are his son Floyd J. McClure of Texas, his daughter Ruby J. Foster of Lorain, Ohio, four grandsons; Jeff, Justin, Jeremy McClure and A.J. Foster and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Howard (Clara) McClure of Smithfield and Robert (Elberta) McClure of California. Friends and family may call on Sunday from 4 pm. to 8 pm., at the J. E. Foster Funeral Homes, Inc., 107 Hill St. Smithfield; where Services will be held on Monday at 12 Noon. Rev. Wilford Simeral will officiate the Service and burial will follow at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates in Wintersville. Military Burial honors will be conducted by the Piney Fork American Legion.
