James S. Spicer, 76, of Irondale, OH, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 8, 2012 in Steubenville, OH.Jim was born July 24, 1936 in Springfield, Tennessee, son of the late James G. and Annie Vera Garrison Spicer.Jim was retired from Combined Transport Co. where he was a truck driver; he was a member of the Port Homer Community Church and a Veteran of the US Army.In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by six infant brothers and sisters.Jim is survived by his wife, Joyce E. (VanDyke) Spicer whom he married on June 26, 1959; his son James Kevin (Alice) Spicer of Toronto, OH; his daughter Marcy Jo (Darren) Koplen of Irondale, OH; his sister Joyce (Bill) Dye and his brother Don (Emma) Spicer all of Toronto, OH. Jim also leaves behind his six grandchildren, Ryan James Randolph, Makayala Spicer, Chelsea Spicer, Dallas Michael Koplen, Harley and Cody Moffo.Visitation for Jim will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home 701 Findley St. in Toronto, OH where his Funeral Service will be held on Friday morning at 11am.
