James O. Jim Wilson, 83, of Toronto, OH, passed away Wednesday March 16, 2016 in the Acuity Specialty Hospital in Steubenville, OH.

Jim was born July 13, 1932 in Toronto, son of the late Oliver and Mary Dougherty Wilson.

Jim was retired from Weirton Steel Corp., where he worked in the tin mill. He was a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Toronto, a 1950 graduate of Toronto High School, a member of the Toronto Sunrise Sr. Citizens Club and an avid Notre Dame and Chicago Cubs fan.

Jim was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving his country in the Korean War.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Wilson Romey in 1995; two sisters, Biddy Troski and Rita Baier; two brothers, Ronald and Bill Wilson.

He is survived by his wife, Marion M. (Reed) Wilson, whom he married on May 21, 1960; two daughters, Teresa (Dave) Karaffa of Engelwood, FL and Danette Wilson of Toronto; his brother, Robert (Kay Jean) Wilson of Raleigh, NC; three grandchildren, Danielle and Oliver Sutherin, John Mike Romey and one great-grandson, Colton Stasiulewicz.

Visitation for Jim will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 1-5 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home 701 Findley St. in Toronto. Additional visitation will take place on Monday at St. Francis Church on Findley St. in Toronto from 10 am til time of Jims Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 11 am. Father Thomas Vennitti will celebrate his Mass and burial will take place in Toronto Union Cemetery at the convenience of his family.
