James B. 'JB' Workman, 71, of Toronto (New Somerset), OH, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025 in the Valley Hospice Care Center in Steubenville, OH.

JB was born April 16, 1953, in Hammondsville (Pine Grove), OH, at home, son of the late Clyde and Audrey (McCourt) Workman.

JB was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy L. Workman, who passed in January of 2024. She was the love of his life, and they are reunited once again for eternity. He also had lost two brothers, Chuck Workman and Richard "Fuzz" Workman, and a sister, Karen Simmons.

JB married Kathy in 1977 and later moved to Arizona to chase the warmth and sunshine. After a few years in Arizona, they decided to move back home, but always had a goal to return someday.

Upon their return, he got a part-time job driving a bus for the Edison Local School District. That job eventually became full-time, and he later transitioned into the schools as a custodian and eventually retired in 2013.

JB leaves behind his two son, Justin and Tawna Workman of Hopedale, OH, and Drew and Rachel Workman of Richmond, OH; grandchildren, Issac, Alex, Jenna, Mason, Jaxon and Jole; brothers, Gary Workman of Seattle, WA, and Bob and Carol Workman of Canfield, OH; sister, Barb and Louie Muraca of Vero Beach, FL; his "Arizona Sister," Nancy Bowling; sister-in-law, Martha Maple of Bergholz, OH, and brother-in-law, Steve Fox of Virginia.

A Memorial Service for JB will be held on Saturday, March 1 at 2 PM at the New Somerset Christian Church in New Somerset with Pastor Rob Minto. Friends and family will be received at the church prior to the service from 1 to 2 PM.
