Janet C. (Barker) Boger, 82, of Steubenville, OH, passed away Sunday Feb. 5, 2023, at her home, with her children by her side.

She was born Dec. 22, 1940, in Toronto, OH, daughter of the late Orlie M. and Mary M. (Makin) Barker.

Janet was a former Nurses Aide, on the second floor, at the former Ohio Valley Hospital in Steubenville. She was a Christian by faith.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by granddaughter Jessica D. Reynard, son-in-law Marvin Katz, brother Robert Barker, companion Carl White, and sister-in-law Diane Barker.

Surviving are her daughters, Toni (David) Rennie of Steubenville, Tracy Katz and Michele (Walt) Thomas both of Mingo Jct., OH, and her son, Paul R. Yontz, Jr. of Steubenville; brother, Howard Barker Steubenville; 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and her beloved pet, Sugar.

Janets funeral service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 1 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto with visitation prior from 11 am to 1 pm. A funeral service will follow at 1 pm. Rev. Kevin Rinkes will officiate, and burial will follow in the Fort Steuben Burial Estates in Wintersville, OH. www.jefosterfh.com
