Jeffrey Stephen Toney, 57, of Steubenville, OH, passed away Saturday June 30, 2012 in UPMC Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA. Jeff was born March 14, 1955, son of Isabelle Dokes Toney, who survives and the late Gilbert Toney Jr. Jeff was retired from AEP Cardinal Plant in Brilliant, OH. He was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Smithfield, OH. In addition to his father, Jeff was preceded in death by his sister Ruth Dalton.Surviving are his mother Isabelle Dokes Toney of Steubenville; two sons Justin and Tristan Tolman; daughter Keena Robinson; one granddaughter Madison Tolman; his brother Michael (Jewette) Toney Sr.; four sisters, Betty Toney, Jacque (Robert) Booker, Paula (Wayne) Toney-Brooks and Lisa (Robert Smith) Mason. Jeff is also survived by two aunts Gertrude Carter and Virginia Irving along with several nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. Jeff leaves behind a host of family and sincere friends. Following Jeff's wishes he was cremated. He asked that there be no viewing or services.
