Joan E. (Tisch) Nance, 77, of Toronto, OH, passed away Thursday Dec. 11, 2014 at the home of her daughter in Chesapeake, OH.

She was born Dec. 19, 1936 in Steubenville, OH, daughter of Jane (Jablonski) Tisch, who survives, and the late John Tisch.

Joan was a homemaker, and a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Toronto, OH. She was also a member of the Toronto American Legion Post # 86 Ladies Auxiliary where she served as Past President, 2nd Vice and served on the Executive Committee.

In addition to her father, Joan was preceded in death by her son Jeffrey Bara in 1988.

Surviving is her daughter, Jane Carol (Steven) Norris of Chesapeake, OH; her mother, Jane (Jabolonski) Tisch of Acworth, GA; her two brothers, James (Nancy) Tisch of Acworth, GA and John (Bonnie) Tisch of Dover, AR; two granddaughters, Amy Norris and her companion Bill Arthur and Stephanie (Adam) Roush all of Chesapeake, OH; four great-grandchildren, Tyler Arthur, Rylee, Chloe, Eli Roush and one great-grandchild on the way.

A Memorial Visitation and Mass will be held on Friday Dec. 19, 2014 at St. Francis Roman Catholic Church located on Findley St. in Toronto, OH. Visitation will be from 10 am til time of Joans Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 11 am. Rev. Father Thomas Vennitti will celebrate her Mass and Inurnment will follow in Union Cemetery in Steubenville, OH.

Joans arrangements are in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto.
