John Frederick Bernhart, 73, of Bergholz, OH, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.

John was born on May 26, 1952, in Steubenville, OH, to the late Stephen G., II and Carolyn (Pauls) Bernhart. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Carl Bernhart and Stephen G. Bernhart, III.

He is survived by his siblings, Aric (Heidi) Bernhart of FL, Priscilla Braun of MD, Jeff (Sharlene) Bernhart of Toronto, OH, Michael Bernhart of Toronto, Marc Bernhart of Toronto, Charlotte (Mark) Sampson of MD and numerous nieces and nephews.

John served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War Era and later worked as a welder at the Cardinal Plant in Brilliant, OH, until his eventual retirement.

There will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements for John have been entrusted to the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto.
