John R. Itchy Bodrog, 77, of Toronto, OH, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017 in the Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo, NY.

John was born Aug. 31, 1939 in Steubenville, OH, son of the late John and Mary (Puhowsky) Bodrog.

He was retired from the Ohio Edison Co. in Stratton, OH, where he worked as a Maintenance Planner. Upon retirement John drove vehicles for many local car dealerships.

John was Russian Orthodox by faith and he attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Toronto. He was a member of the Toronto Sunrise Senior Group, AARP, Toronto American Legion Post #86 and he was an usher at the football games for the Ohio State Buckeyes for 15 years. He was also a Veteran of the US Air Force.

He leaves behind his wife, Nancy C. (Sherwood) Bodrog whom he married Aug. 14, 1965; his four children, Charles (Laura) Bodrog of Riverside, CA, Nannette (George) Ware of E. Liverpool, OH, Jeff (Sherry) Bodrog of Weirton, WV and Natalie (Jason) Lenox of Durango, CO; his eleven grandchildren and four step-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, July 23, 2017 from 1 - 5 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. Johns funeral service will be held at the conclusion of the viewing at 5 pm with Rev. Eric Frey officiating. His burial will be held at the convenience of his family.
