John L. Carman, 78, of Toronto, OH, passed away Wednesday Sept. 8, 2021, in the Dixon Health Care Center in Wintersville, OH.

John was born Sept. 29, 1942, in Toronto, son of the late Warren W. and Audrey (Sciance) Carman.

He was retired from Trinity East Medical Center, where he worked as a store-room clerk.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his two sisters, Bernadine Feist and Carol Carman, brother Robert Carman, and stepson Curtis J. Howell, Jr.

Surviving is his wife, Nancy L. (Blanchard) Carman, whom he married May 6, 1972; his son, John David Carman of Toronto, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Monday Sept. 13, 2021, from 11 am to 12:30 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto with Johns funeral service following at 12:30 pm. Chaplain Leo Gonot will officiate, and burial will follow in Island Creek Cemetery.
