John W. Gilbert, 64, of Toronto, OH, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, May 15, 2019 in the Trinity Medical Center ER in Steubenville, OH.

John was born June 8, 1954 in Bristol, VA, son of the late Patrick Dingus and Jackinett (Gilbert) Meyer.

He retired two years ago from Timet-Titanium Manuf. Plant in Toronto as an inspector.

John never took anything too seriously nor did he have a mean bone in his body. He worried about everyone but himself and his greatest love in life was his family.

John leaves behind his wife, Rosetta (Clifford) Gilbert whom he married Dec. 15, 1973; his two daughters, Melissa (Tony) Parello and Kristina (Derek) Rummell both of Toronto; his brother, Bill (Shelley) Meyer of Toronto and his sister, Dianne Fields of TN; his two beloved granddaughters, Madison and Emma Parello.

Family and friends will be received Saturday, May 18 from 3 5 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. Johns burial will be held at the convenience of his family.
