John P. Loftus, 69, of Toronto, OH, passed away at his home Sunday March 19, 2023.

John was born June 2, 1953, in Wheeling, WV, son of the late John J. and Martha (Prager) Loftus.

He was retired from the former Hancock Manufacturing Co. where he worked as a Press Operator. John was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Pittsburgh Steeler fan.

John was a Veteran of the US Air Force having served his country in the Vietnam War. He was proud of his three sons who followed in his footsteps and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, two of which are retired and one who is currently still serving his country.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Woodland and brother, Jeff Loftus.

Surviving is his wife, Cathy (Slocum) Loftus, whom he married March 8, 1986; four sons, Chris Loftus of Gatesville, TX, Eric (Lisa) Loftus of Sheets, TX, Mike (Beth) Loftus of Omaha, NE, and Charlie (Shawna) Loftus of Oklahoma City, OK; brother, Jim Loftus of Malvern, OH, and ten grandchildren.

Johns wishes were to be cremated, with no services observed. His arrangements are in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH. www.jefosterfh.com
