John B. " Jack " Scalley 77 of N. 5th St. Toronto, Ohio passed away Friday Jan. 7, 2005 in the Emergency Room of Trinity Medical Center West. Jack was born May 5, 1927 in Toronto, son of the late Edward and Verna Piatt Scalley. Jack was a retired employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp., Mingo Plant; working in the Utilities Dept. until his retirement. Jack was also retired from Carlaines Florist; where he worked as their Delivery man for 7 years. He was a member of the Toronto American Legion Post # 86, The Toronto V.F.W. Post #6906 and was a U.S. Army Veteran of W.W.II. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by; a Brother, William Scalley and a Sister; Jean Lescalett. Surviving are; his wife of 57 years, Helen Zdinak Scalley, whom he married on June 28, 1948; his children, Diana ( Jim ) Orsini ; Jackie ( Jim ) Myslinsky; John ( Janice " Janet " ) Scalley; David ( Judy ) Scalley; Cindy Murphy and her companion Bob Kidwell; Severine ( Brian ) Gorby all of Toronto. Six Grandchildren; Jenny and Justin Myslinsky; Jessica Murphy; Patrick Scalley; Erika and Lisa Scalley, one Great-Grandson Anthony Myslinsky. One Brother;Edward Scalley Jr. of Steubenville. Friends and Family may call on Sunday 7 - 9 pm. and Monday from 2 -4 and 7 - 9 pm. at the J. E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc. 701 Findley St. Toronto; where services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am., with Father Andrew Chura officiating. Burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery.
