John E. Slocum, 68, of Toronto, OH, passed away Friday May 22, 2020 at his home.

John was born March 8, 1952 in Steubenville, OH, son of the late William and Helen (McGinnis) Slocum.

He was formerly employed at the Toronto Paper Board Co. and Levolor Corp.

John was Catholic by faith and served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Miller.

Surviving are his two daughters, Amie Slocum of Pittsburgh, PA and Angela Semen of Beaver, PA; his sister, Cathy (John) Loftus of Toronto; his brother William Slocum of Worthington, OH and many nieces and nephews.

Following Johns wishes, he will be cremated, and burial will be held at the convenience of his family. His arrangements are in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto.
