Joseph Bocek, 74 of State Hwy. 213 Toronto, Ohio passed away Thursday May 18, 2006 in his home of natural causes.Joe was born March 14, 1932 in McKees Rocks, Pa., son of the late Adam and Antonina Kucza Bocek Sr. He was retired from the Boiler house at Weirton Steel Corp., retiring after 43 years of service. Joe was a member of the Riverview United Methodist Church in Toronto, was a 1951 graduate of Steubenville High School, a member of the Weirton Steel 25 yr. club and was a member of the U.S.W.A.In addition to his parents Joe was preceded in death by; four brothers, George of Pittsburgh, Adam of Steubenville, William of Weirton, and Frank of Wintersville. Also by two sisters; Mary Kaszowski of Michigan and Helen Salvonik of Florida. Surviving is his wife Adurey J. (Barker) Bocek, whom he married on Jan. 9, 1953, his children, Joseph Duane (Cheryl) Bocek of Beverly Hills, Fla., Douglas Alan (Sandy) Bocek Loveland, CO., Thomas Eugene Bocek of Toronto, Michael Edwin (Sharon) Bocek of Cadiz and Tina (Rick) McCoy of Toronto. Five grandchildren, Stephanie Arniotis of Brooklyn, NY., Michael Edwin Bocek Jr. of Cadiz, Ashley and Brittany Cunningham of Cadiz, and Trent McCoy of Toronto. Two Sisters, Ann McCauliff of Akron, Ohio and Katy Jossund of Chicago, Ill.Friends and family may call on Sunday May 21st, from 12 noon to 2:00pm. and from 5:00 pm. to 8:00 pm. at the J.E.FOSTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. 701 Findley St. Toronto; where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am. Rev. William Hibbs will officiate the service and burial will follow in Ft. Steuben Burial Estate in Wintersville. Do to a medical condition in the family, it was Joe's request that no flowers be sent for visitation.
