Joseph A. Herrick, 85 of Toronto, Ohio passed away Wednesday Oct. 4, 2006 in TrinityMedicalCenter West. Joseph was born February 22, 1921 in Chlmec, Slovak Republic, son of the late Joseph Sr. and Mary (Demko) Hirjak.Joe was a retired employee of Anthony Mining Co. where he worked on the oil drag lines, a member of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church and also served his country during WWII.Joe is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary M. ( Rujak ) Herrick of home, his children, son, Benjamin P. and Marianne Hirjak of Sarasota, FL; daughter, Gretta E. and Mark Casto of Calcutta, OH; son, Stephen M. and Jennie Herrick of Hammondsville, OH; one sister, Mary Jusko of Chlmec, Slovak Republic.Joe is survived by six grandchildren: Benjamin and Heidi Hirjak, Eric Casto, Andrea Morris, Stephen and Matthew Herrick and one great-grandchild, Samuel Casto. Friends and Family may call on Saturday at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church on N. River Ave in Toronto, from 9 am. until Mass at 11: 00 am. with Msgr.
