Josephine Waligura, 94, of Piney Fork, OH, passed away Wednesday Oct. 28, 2015 in East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry, OH.

Josephine was born Aug. 25, 1921 in Bloomingdale, OH daughter of the Late Michael and Susan Hreha Matuska.

She was a homemaker, a member of St. Casimir Roman Catholic Church in Adena, OH and was a 1943 graduate of Wayne High School in Bloomingdale, OH.

In addition to her parents, Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, her son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Patty Waligura and her eight brothers and sisters.

Surviving is her daughter-in-law, Annamarie Mako-Waligura of Darlington, PA; her step-son, Charles Sonny (Maria Fe) Waligura, Jr. of Rootstown, OH; ten grandchildren, Matthew Waligura and his fianc Tina of FL, Brad and Denise Waligura of Northfield, OH, Evan Waligura of Kent, OH, Charles Scott and Heidi Waligura of Wooster, OH, Chanelle, Brian and Lexi Young of Rootstown, OH; two step-grandchildren, Michelle (Paul) Joy of Darlington, PA and Karen Mako and her fianc Josh of Bloomington, IN; nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday Nov. 1, 2015 from 4-6 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc. 107 Hill St. Smithfield, OH. Her funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 am at the funeral home with Msgr. John Kolesar celebrating her and burial will follow in Northern Cemetery in Smithfield, OH.
