Joshua Robert Starr, 33, of Toronto, OH, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016 in the Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

Josh was born Feb. 12, 1983 in E. Liverpool, OH, son of Robert M. and Donna L. (Wells) Starr.

He was currently employed by United Health Care where he loved his job as an IT Operating System Consultant and was valued team leader. Josh was a member of First United Methodist Church in Toronto and he had a love for fishing, guns, knives, wood crafting and carving.

Josh was a very caring person with an infectious smile and laugh who loved people and always had your back. He loved roller blading and skate boarding even going as far as building his own half-pipe in his back yard.

Josh was preceded in death by his maternal grandfathers, Richard P. Wells and James Gettings and his paternal grandparents, Clell and Nonie Starr.

He leaves behind his wife, Amanda R. (King) Starr whom he married Sept. 27, 2014; his parents, Bob and Donna Starr of Toronto; his two sisters, Kristin (Matt) Parrish of Toronto and Amy Starr and Daryl Derringer of Bridgeville, PA; his step-daughters who lived with him, Carly King and Joslynn Waugh; his nieces, Karyn and Kelsey Parrish; his maternal grandmother, Evelyn Gettings of Toronto; his aunts and uncles, Dave Starr, Marcita (Bill) Heckathorn, Ruth (Kevin) Blanton, Mary (Neil) Blanton and Rick (Sue) Wells and several cousins.

Visitation for Josh will be held on Monday, May 30 from 3-8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 12 noon at the funeral home with Rev. Kevin Rinkes officiating. There will be additional visitation Tuesday morning from 10am til time of his service at noon. Joshs burial will be held at the convenience of his family.
