Julia Kertoy of Smithfield, Ohio passed away Tuesday Jan. 3, 2006 in the East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry. She was born March 31, 1919 in (Greentown) Bradley, Ohio; daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Cseke Toth. She was retired from Buckeye Local Schools as an assistant cook. She is a member of the Smithfield United Methodist Church; Smithfield, Mingo Jct., and Dillonvale Senior Citizens. Member of the Dames of Malta, AARP, and Homemakers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Kertoy, a sister Elizabeth Nagy of Flint Michigan. Surviving are; her son John Allen Kertoy of Mentor, Ohio, one sister Helen Kohl of Canton, Ohio, Two brothers; Joseph Toth Jr. (Katherine) of Lorain, Ohio, Gabriel Toth (Margretta) of Laurel Md. Also survived by; two sister-in-laws Mary Kertoy of Bradley, Ohio and Helen Sipos of Bloomingdale, Ohio. Many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. at the J. E. FOSTER FUNERAL HOMES, INC. 107 Hill St. Smithfield; where services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am.
