Julius J. Chetock, 87, of Toronto, OH, passed away Friday, August 7, 2026, in the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH.

Julius was born October 28, 1938, in East Liverpool, OH, son of the late Steven and Bernice (Olesky) Chetock.

He worked in Operations at the W.H. Sammis Plant in Stratton, OH, where he later retired from the First Energy Corp. Prior to the power plant, Julius worked at the Timet-Titanium Metals Plant in Toronto, Citizens Bank, and the Homer Laughlin China Co.

Julius was an active member and the Secretary for the Toronto Fraternal Order of Eagles Aries 1276. He was also a member of the St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Toronto.

In addition to his parents, Julius was preceded in death by his wife, Donna (DeVore) Chetock in 2008, his son Todd in 2024 and most recently his brother Benjamin in 2026.

Julius leaves behind his children, Mark Chetock of Plain City, OH, Craig (Grace) Chetock of Delaware, OH, Julie Chetock of Delaware, Brian (Caroline) Chetock of Steubenville, and Wendy (Jason) Miller of Powell, OH; one brother, William Chetock of Wellsville, OH; thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, August 13, from 4 pm to 7 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. A graveside service will follow on Friday at the pavilion in the Toronto Union Cemetery at 10:30 am led by Fr. Thomas Vennitti.
