Karen Maxine (Sutherin) McGarry, 88, of Toronto, OH, passed away Friday June 5, 2026, at her home.

Karen was born February 20, 1938, in Empire, OH, daughter of the late Albert and Lorraine (Culp) Sutherin.

She worked as an Office Manager at Valley Converting Co., in Toronto, until her eventual retirement. Karen was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Toronto.

In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her husband, George McGarry; three sisters, June Kennedy, Phyllis Karaffa, Wanda Maher; three brothers, Robert, Kenneth, and Donald Sutherin.

Surviving is her son, Michael (Michele) McGarry of Toronto, her grandson, Christopher McGarry of West Chester, OH and great-granddaughter, Mia.

Karen wished to be cremated, and no services will be held at this time. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, George, at Toronto Union Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto.
