Kashmir F. "Kas" Deptula, 68, of Toronto, OH, passed away Monday, January 02, 2012 at his home. Kas was born April 20, 1943 in Steubenville, OH, son of the late Kashmir C. and Helen C. (Kulmaczewski) Deptula. Kas was retired from Weirton Steel with 31 years of service where he worked as a Hotmill Burner. Kas was a Veteran having served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Toronto, the Toronto Fraternal Order of Eagles and Toronto American Legion. Kas is survived by his wife Linda M. "Sweetie" (Smurthwaite) Deptula of home, whom he married on July 13, 1988; his two sons Joseph (Margaret) Radvansky Jr. of Waldorf, MD and Daniel Radvansky of Columbus, OH; his daughter Melissa Fair and his grandson Brady Fair of Toronto, OH; his brother Thomas (Patricia) Deptula of Toronto, OH; his sister-in-law Laura VanDyke of Toronto, OH. Visitation for Kas will be held on Thursday, Jan. 5 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH, where his funeral service will be held on Friday, Jan. 6 at 11am with Fr. Thomas Vennitti as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery with the Toronto American Legion Post #86 providing Military Graveside Honors. Memorial donations may be made in Kas' name to Charity Hospice in Wintersville, OH.
